This was a cake for a Scrabble lover's birthday. It had some extra special messages built right in. The scrabble tiles and tile trays were made by hand. The board was hand painted.
I have always been fascinated by what people can do with a cake and some icing. I love challenging myself to see if I can do what others have made using the same medium. If you need a cake, let's talk! ~Kelly (a.k.a. Pony)

Curious George - almost
This was cake I made for a boy's second birthday party. It was ultimately going to be topped with a Curious George topper. The polka dots and 'ribbon' was made from modeling chocolate. Much better flavor than fondant.
Christmas at work
Would anyone like a 'Pez' of cake?
This was a birthday cake for a PEZ collector. We decided to make the 'head' a cake since it seemed the most appropriate. The entire cake is covered in buttercream only. The only items fondant are the fake 'candles'.
New Baby on the Way!
This cake was for a little football star on the way. The little feet were made of modeling chocolate, the (1/2) football was rice crispy treat. Hmmm I wonder what team they like?

Skater Cat
This cake was made for a friend's daughter for her skating birthday party. I had previously made a roller skating puppy and we thought a skating cat would work in this case. The cat was white cake, with a modeling chocolate covering. The cat was shaded using petal dusts and a lot of patience!! For the roller skates I pulled out an old pattern I had for a baby shoe and modified it to be a 'hi-top'
